GIPPSLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS 2017

The GCA Champs was again this year hosted by the Dutson Downs Campdraft Committee and held at Sale. We were fortunate to have great weather for the Champs on the Saturday with our normal draft on the Sunday having a bit of rain.

Friday afternoon the trucks started to roll in and the grounds were in beautiful condition which had been prepared by Peter Boulton. A free sausage sizzle Friday night and competitors collecting their program and shirts which Tammy Goff  had organized were excited and ready for the Champs to start the next morning.

This year our judge for the event was Mr Darren Jewell who judged not only our championships event but was good enough to stay and judge the Dutson Draft Maiden and Novice for Novice events on the Sunday.

Many, many people need to be thanked for making the Championships event a success. Our many sponsors, cattle donors, transport workers and the hardworking GCA Champs subcommittee and volunteers that all work so well together to make this event such a huge success.  Along with our major sponsor Pryde’s EasiFeed we were also fortunate enough this year to obtain a major sponsor for the Championships in Zac Jackson from Fine Arc Engineering.
