Welcome to The Gippsland Campdrafting Association (GCA).Our membership continues to grow each year, with more and more people becoming interested in the sport of campdrafting. This true “aussie” sport began in the cattle camps of the outback, where riders were required to select a beast out from the mob. This took the combined skill of horse and rider working together as one, as most cattle resent being separated from the mob. Over time, these skills were developed into the uniquely Australian sport as we see it today.

Congratulations to everyone who competed at the Championships on 14th April 2012, an excellent day was enjoyed by all, with thanks to each and everyone who contributed in any way to the success that was the 2012 Championships. Well done to all winners and placegetters, it was delightful to see the younger competitors getting up there in the blue ribbons. Special thanks to Warwick Lawrence and wife Fiona who travelled down from Maitland way to judge and do the board work respectively.
Some dates to put in the Diary - Presentation Night 2nd June 2012 upstairs at the Sale Greyhound Rooms, Annual General Meeting 6th July 2012 at the CWA Rooms at Traralgon - be wonderful to see as many as possible at both functions.
New Calendar dates will be available after the AGM and the Website will be updated as well at that stage with the New Membership Form for the 2012/13 Season.
